** HINT: It’s not a learning problem. It’s a clarity problem.

You can’t open doors, if your hands are full

I’ve done this countless times especially after a supermarket run. I have all these bags, plus my phone, car keys, gate remote AND house keys in hand trying to open my front door. More often than not, something has to give. Usually I have to drop one or all of the bags before I can open the door. I’m Taurean so I know I’m stubborn. What’s your excuse? LOL.

In this case it’s groceries yet we all hold on to things longer than we need to, delaying our ability to open the door. We hold on to pain, what we think we know, how we think we need to solve an issue. If you’re like me, you remain at the door, adding bags and bags of information you’re sure you will need once that door is open.

We need to lighten our load.

This week I plan on doing a lot of ‘unsusbcribing’ from information that I think I will need in a future that hasn’t yet arrived. There is also some forgiving that needs to be done because holding on to past hurts is taking up too much ‘hand space’ and I am having difficulty using the key I’ve been gifted with to not only open but walk through the door.

Only when we put it all down, physically, mentally, spiritually and metaphysically, can we then have the clarity to decide, what we need to take that next step.

What are you holding on to right now, whether it’s something at work, home, in a relationship, that you need to put down in order to access your door?
