How we enter each day matters…

We all know today’s the first day in the new year. However every day that we get up to experience a new day, is an opportunity to recommit and reconnect to who we are, what we are doing and why.

Rituals have been helpful to me in so far as centering me at the beginning of each day. Read something inspirational, drink tea, write in my journal yet for a long time, even though I felt accomplished for having done these things, I still was neglecting to do my most important work…despite calling this work important.

I realized that I needed to write down my own philosophy, and remind myself daily – that this is why I was here.

Remembering what we are doing and why is an exceedingly important practice.

Remembering that your precious human birth is unrepeatable is necessary knowing that there is no other tasked to do, what you are doing. Still we forget. I am assuming you forget of course, because I definitely forget.

I forget when I enter my day through the channels of social media and get caught up in the euphoria of what everyone else is doing, losing sight of the fact that I have a job to do that is uniquely mine. And every time I squander these moments in search of something outside myself, this is when I have less than spectacular days because all I see is my lack and my limitation.

So I encourage you to view every day in its newness and opportunity to begin again, wiser and more determined to contribute in the rare ways that only you could…those ways that perhaps you take for granted.

So what will you do today, knowing that you are one off the rarest forms of life to ever walk the Earth?

MARK NEPO

When we enter each day, remembering our mission and our philosophy, we will no longer hesitate to say what needs to be said and ask for the guidance we need in that day.

When we enter each day, remembering our mission and our philosophy, we will be better positioned to serve those who need our solutions.

When we enter each day, remembering our mission and our philosophy, we will become lighthouses for our cause attracting to us, all that we need and desire because of our commitment to purpose.

When this becomes a habit, then your light can never be extinguished and the world will be so much better for YOU…for your uniqueness and of course, for your contribution.
